Another day in your vacation to Costa Rica. Today in the morning you will be transfered to the high mountains of the Tilarán mountain range, specifically to the Cloud Forest area in Monteverde. This transfer includes a boat tour of the Arenal Lake; which is one of the largest and most important in Costa Rica. The first part of the trip is graced by the great views of Lake Arenal and its surroundings.
Later, the ascent through the mountains begins. You will enjoy the beautiful rural scenery that adorns the gravel road as you approach the highest parts of the mountain, you will be able to feel a slight change in temperature for being more than 1300 meters above sea level.
Monteverde is known for its rich and diverse expanse of tropical cloud forest. The vegetation covered with orchids, bromeliads, moss and its density make it very attractive for nature lovers. The cool weather will revive the rural experience Costa Rica.
Rest of the day free. You can explore on your own some of the different attractions in the area (extra cost), such as the Sky Walk, a system of trails and hanging bridges, horseback riding, Sky Trek (zip lines), the sugar mill cultural tour, butterfly garden and many others. plus.

The following suggested activities and notes are not included in the reservation of this itinerary. The Travel Designer included them so that you can optionally do them on your own during your trip.
This tour gathers the most interesting and visited spots of Costa Rica. The area of the Tortuguero National Park is only accessible by boat or by a small aircraft. You will be entering by boat, through the different waterways along and the abundant flora and fauna located in the middle of the Tropical Rainforest definitely turn this place into a true ecotourism paradise.
Tortuguero will provide a panoramic view of how the Caribbean side of our country lives.
Our next destination will be taken you to the Northern Plains, where the famous Arenal Volcano is located, with it’s almost perfect conic shape, immense in an area with a huge variety of attractions and activities to do, making the area a must place to visit.
The journey continues to the Monteverde area, which has captured the worldwide attention of biologists, conservationists, and ecologists and has been the setting for extensive investigation over the past 40 years. The area is known for its spectacular scenes and the diverse rich tropical cloud forest. In addition, the alpine like weather, will revive the rural experience of our wonderful country.
Finally, the program gives you the opportunity to stay at the beach in our Pacific Coast, for the following three nights where you can relax, enjoy the sun and the beach. You can select to stay in the Beach area of Guanacaste or in the Manuel Antonio zone (please note that overnight cost at the beach is NOT included and has to be quoted).
